About the Program

Tenerife is the largest island of the Canary archipelago and part of Spain.

CD Tenerife — a club with history and tradition

CD Tenerife is one of Spain’s oldest football clubs, with nearly a century of developing football in the Canary Islands.

The club has been a launching platform for players competing in La Liga and the national team.

Training within its structure opens the pathway to professional football and participation in Europe’s top leagues.

Pathway to Professional Football

  • Ages 12–17: Participation in the Preferente league.
  • From 18 years: Opportunity to play for CD Tenerife.
  • Regular scouting by La Liga, Segunda División, and other European clubs.

Training Process

Intensive preparation 3–4 hours per day:

  • Morning individual sessions
  • Evening team trainings

Focus areas: technique, tactics, endurance, and game intelligence.

Each session is designed according to the standards of professional Spanish clubs.

Accommodation

  • Ages 12–17: Residences near the training base.
  • Ages 18–23: Club villas for athletes.

All facilities meet the standards of Europe’s leading sports academies.

International-Level Education

Football training is combined with academic learning:
– British School of Tenerife: British curriculum with international certificates.
– Universidad Europea de Canarias: University programs in English and Spanish (optional, additional fees apply).
– Language School (English & Spanish): For students with basic English skills, intensive language courses are available to facilitate rapid adaptation and preparation for academic learning.

This combination enables growth both as an athlete and as an individual.

  • Participant Age: 12–23 years
  • Applications Open: Until program commencement
